About me

Whatever may be troubling you, I welcome you to get in touch with me, to see how I can help you. Sometimes you might not be sure what it is. Therapy can provide you with a space to help you make sense of complex feelings with a trained professional alongside you.

I am a fully qualified London based psychotherapist and counsellor, accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). These professional bodies have strict codes of ethics and practice to which I abide.

I have particular experience of working with relationship and family issues as well as with anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.

In addition to private practice, my clinical experience includes working as a psychotherapist within an NHS service, the charity sector (including a nationwide charity for older people) and within the counselling service of London universities.

I have spent several years working as a counsellor for students at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA).

What I can help with

I work with adults of all ages (over 18).

The areas I can help with include:

  • Anxiety (health anxiety, social anxiety, OCD and panic attacks)

  • Body image

  • Childhood bullying and its impact on the present

  • Cultural issues

  • Depression (low mood, sadness, lack of of purpose)

  • Discrimination

  • LGBTQ+ counselling

  • Loss, illness and bereavement (including losing a parent in childhood, anticipatory grief and coming to terms with a medical diagnosis)

  • Low self esteem (exploring how this may be impacting your present life)

  • Major life transitions (parenthood, divorce, retirement)

  • Neurodiversity

  • PTSD

  • Relationships (divorce, family, friendships)

  • Stress - work related (burnout, financial pressures) and academic stress (deadlines, perfectionism)

I am an integrative psychotherapist and have been trained in a variety of different approaches.

Integrative therapy can combine practical tools, techniques and the use of psychoeducation to help normalise our human experience, with in depth psychological insight.

My approach is supportive and compassionate and I encourage a collaborative approach between us, so that we can work at a pace that feels right for you.

My experience

Before my career as a psychotherapist, I worked as a lawyer and have an understanding of high-pressure work environments. I support clients navigating stress, burnout, career transitions and work related anxiety.

I have experience of living in different countries and of adapting to different cultures and languages. I believe that my own diverse heritage enriches my therapeutic work, as I am able to hold a shared awareness of some experiences.

My qualifications

I have completed a five year postgraduate academic and clinical training in psychotherapy and counselling:

  • PGCIP in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regent's University, London

  • M.A. in Psychotherapy & Counselling (with Distinction), Regent's University, London

  • Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regent's University, London
